Finding Your Light in January
The energy of the Winter holidays will be done soon, leaving many worn down and feeling depleted. We’re still in the cold, stormy season for several more weeks. And, nature is telling us this is the time for rest, recuperation and gathering strength for the more energetic seasons to come as the light increases. For many, this is a hard time of year for assorted reasons. The low energy lends to contemplation, remembering , re-evaluating. . . some are grieving a loss . . . some are dreaming of change . . . some are setting goals . . . some are looking for a restart or a new adventure. This is a time for self-care. A time to acknowledge and feel the feelings. Do what you need to take care of yourself. Reflect on, and reconnect with, what makes you happy. Slow down. Winter is healing time. And, nature and animals are great therapy.
We’ve scheduled our Goat Yoga Classes on Saturday and Sunday’s at 2 PM and we’ve added 2 workshops for January to help you create and find your light! REGISTER TODAY!
Goat-together for the Holidays!
Hi everyone! For many reasons…Sean and I do not celebrate holidays. My family is scattered throughout the country and some are not in our lives any longer for one reason or another and it’s just too painful. This is why we love opening up our farm for other families to celebrate theirs! We are OPEN for Thanksgiving (only 2 spots left), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day! If the weather is bad, we can host your group in our Christmas Barn. We allow up to 16 people and you can bring food, drinks and celebrate with the goats and have the farm all to yourself for the holidays! These are 90-minute slots at 8 AM, 10 AM, 12 PM, or 2 PM. This not only makes for a memorable holiday for your family, but it helps our farm sanctuary in a time when we really need the support. Contact me today to schedule! Email Lainey at events@goatyoga.net for a Holiday Goat Happy Hour for your friends and family! Thank you and Happy Holidays!
Holiday Goats & Glass Class- Dec. 15th
Hello everyone! We sold out of our first Holiday Goats & Glass Class (YAY!) so we’ve added another for Dec. 15th! We only have 4 spots left! If you’ve ever wanted to try stained glass making before, this is a beginners course where all the glass is cut for you and you get to put the pieces together with the help of the talented Petrichor Glass Works! We start out the class with a Goat Happy Hour Experience with Mimosa’s or Cider and brunch bites. Weather permitting we go for a farm tour with the goats in tow. If it’s raining, we’ll go visit the goats in their barn for cuddles before class. After Goat Happy Hour we head into the Christmas barn for a 2-hour workshop where you will take a finished piece home! This is truly a unique experience that you won’t find anywhere else in Oregon…or maybe anywhere! Register today to make forever holiday memories! Hope to see you there and thank you for supporting our farm sanctuary!
Attention: Thrifters! Now Offering “Upcycled” Centerpiece Workshops
I LOVE thrifting! I travel to town once a week and part of my routine is stopping at a few thrift stores to find treasures. I’m so excited to partner with Patty Vitz who is not only a former florist, but the QUEEN of creating upcycled art. This aligns so well with our focus of sustainability and not adding to the landfill. Each month we’ll be setting up a Barn Thrift Store and each ticket will include “Goat Bucks” where you can spend them on items for your centerpiece. We’ll include greens, moss & dried flowers and you can shop for your thrifted treasures and create a centerpiece. We’ll have different themes each month. The first being the Holiday Upcycled Centerpiece on Dec. 8th! In January we’ll lead the year off with a Bowl of Light focused on those who have seasonal depression or dealing with grief. Each workshop includes a Goat Happy Hour Experience with snacks/drinks. We hope you’ll join us!
