No Regrets Flower Farm and Animal Sanctuary sits in the Bellfountain Valley, between Eugene and Corvallis. Lainey Morse and her husband Sean Scorvo run it together: a working flower farm on one side, a sanctuary for rescued animals on the other, and a lot of overlap in the middle.
Lainey started Goat Yoga in 2016, on a farm in Albany, with one yoga class in a field and a handful of goats. It grew into a global industry, and she has since been written about by the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, CNN, the BBC, NPR, Time and People.
The flowers here are grown in hügelkultur beds, a permaculture method built on buried wood that breaks down slowly, holds water, and feeds the soil for years without anything being added to it. We use no pesticides at all. It is slower to establish than conventional beds, and it is why the flowers, the bees, and the soil are all better off for it.
The Original Goat Yoga® and Goat Happy Hour® experiences run on the farm too, and both come back to something Lainey noticed early on: it is very hard to stay anxious when you are surrounded by animals.
The sanctuary side is where rescued animals land. Some came from situations that had run out of options, some just needed somewhere to go. They are not livestock here and they are not going anywhere. That work runs through No Regrets Farm Initiative, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which means donations toward their care are tax deductible. The flowers and the farm experiences are a separate business, and the two are kept that way.
You will usually find both of us out in the field with the goats.
